RE: Client Access server doesn’t support NTLM authentication
The release notes for Exchange 2013, referenced by the announcement of CU1, (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj150489(v=exchg.150).aspx ) have a clause under mail flow about how Client Access server doesnt support NTLM authentication. This clause as written specifically refers to SMTP clients. I think I can work around that. My question is whether this issue also applies to outlookanywhere clients. In my case I have both basic and ntlm enabled (under iisauthenticationmethods) on the outlookanywhere virtual directory and it would be a major disruption if we were not able to support both after moving to exchange 2013. Can someone please clarify this for me? Thanks Bill Coulter Bill Coulter

Hi You also need to choose "Basic authentication" in several authentication types. For how to do that, you can refer to the graphic on below link http://msexchangeguru.com/2013/01/10/e2013-outlook-anywhere/ Cheers Note: Microsoft is providing this information as a convenience to you.
